**Job Overview**
We are looking for an experienced and sharp Accountant to handle day-to-day financial operations at our head office in **Raipur, Chhattisgarh**. In this role, you will manage site-wise project accounting, vendor payouts, and statutory compliances for our residential and commercial construction projects across the region.
Important Requirement: Prior core experience working specifically within a Real Estate Construction Company or the Construction Industry is absolutely mandatory. Local candidates or those with deep experience in the Raipur real estate market will be highly preferred.**Key Responsibilities**
- **Project Cost Accounting:** Maintain accurate, site-wise books of accounts for ongoing construction projects in and around Raipur, keeping track of material costs, labor expenses, and overheads.
- **Contractor & Vendor Billing:** Verify and process bills submitted by civil contractors, sub-contractors, and material suppliers (cement, steel, etc.) against actual site work measurements and purchase orders.
- **Tax & Statutory Compliance:** Handle industry-specific compliances, including **CGST & SGST calculations (with strict verification of Input Tax Credit)**, **TDS deductions (including TDS on works contracts under Section 194C)**, and financial reporting for **Chhattisgarh RERA (CG-RERA)**.
- **Cash Flow Management:** Monitor site expenses against sanctioned project budgets, manage daily cash flows for site operations, and coordinate weekly or fortnightly labor payments.
- **Reconciliation:** Conduct regular ledger reconciliations for regional vendors, contractors, and banks, ensuring all site-level transactions are properly backed by bills and vouchers.
- **Financial Reporting:** Prepare project profitability reports, monthly trial balances, and cost-variance sheets to help management track construction budgets.
**Qualifications & Experience**
- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), M.Com, or an equivalent accounting qualification.
- **Experience:** **Minimum 3 to 5 years of core accounting experience, out of which a relevant field experience in a Real Estate Construction Company is a must.**
- **Software Skills:** Hands-on experience with **Tally Prime** or construction-specific ERP software. High proficiency in MS Excel for managing cost sheets and data analysis.
**Required Skills**
- Deep understanding of construction accounting principles, such as revenue recognition based on project completion milestones.
- Sound knowledge of Indian tax laws applicable to the construction sector (GST on works contracts, reverse charge mechanisms, and TDS).
- Familiarity with local market dynamics, vendors, and regulatory processes in Chhattisgarh.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with Raipur-based project managers, site storekeepers, and technical teams.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹320,000.00 per month
