**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly experienced, dynamic, and strategic finance leader for the position of AVP Finance / Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a reputed steel manufacturing organization based in Silatara, Raipur. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in financial management, plant accounting, costing, taxation, compliance, banking, and corporate finance within the steel or heavy manufacturing sector.
This leadership role requires a professional who can drive financial discipline, optimize business performance, strengthen internal controls, and support the organization’s long-term strategic and operational objectives. The candidate will work closely with the promoters, senior management, auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities to ensure financial stability, compliance, and sustainable growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & Strategic Planning
- Lead the complete Finance & Accounts function of the organization.
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and expansion plans.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the management for business decision-making.
- Prepare annual budgets, business forecasts, financial models, and long-term financial plans.
- Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for cost optimization and profitability improvement.
- Support management in evaluating investments, capex planning, and business expansion initiatives.
Accounts & Financial Management
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and MIS systems.
- Ensure accurate preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and accounting controls.
- Ensure timely closure of books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Manage cash flow, fund flow, and working capital efficiently to ensure smooth business operations.
- Analyze operational costs, production expenses, and profitability across departments and units.
Costing & Manufacturing Finance
- Handle plant accounting and costing functions related to steel manufacturing operations.
- Monitor raw material consumption, inventory valuation, production costing, and variance analysis.
- Ensure proper cost allocation and cost control mechanisms across manufacturing processes.
- Evaluate operational efficiencies and implement systems to improve productivity and reduce financial leakages.
- Work closely with plant and operational teams for financial monitoring and performance evaluation.
Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, ROC, and all statutory regulations applicable to the organization.
- Supervise timely filing of returns, assessments, audits, and statutory documentation.
- Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors, and government authorities for assessments and compliance matters.
- Monitor changes in taxation laws and financial regulations and ensure organizational compliance accordingly.
- Maintain strong internal financial controls and compliance systems to minimize risks.
Banking, Treasury & Fund Management
- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and external stakeholders.
- Handle working capital management, credit facilities, term loans, and banking documentation.
- Oversee treasury operations, fund utilization, and liquidity management.
- Negotiate with banks for financial arrangements, limits, and other banking requirements.
- Monitor debt obligations, repayment schedules, and interest optimization.
Audit & Internal Controls
- Lead internal, statutory, cost, and tax audits of the organization.
- Ensure implementation of strong internal control systems and financial governance practices.
- Identify financial risks and implement corrective and preventive control measures.
- Develop and standardize financial policies, SOPs, and reporting structures.
- Ensure transparency, accuracy, and accountability in all financial processes.
Team Management & Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the finance and accounts team.
- Establish performance standards and drive accountability within the department.
- Encourage process improvements, automation, and system-driven financial operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support organizational objectives.
