Job Summary
A Billing Engineer in a construction company is responsible for preparing and managing project bills, client invoices, subcontractor bills, and quantity calculations according to project progress and contract terms.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare RA (Running Account) bills for clients based on project progress.
• Verify and prepare subcontractor and vendor bills.
• Check measurements as per BOQ (Bill of Quantities).
• Maintain measurement sheets and billing records.
• Coordinate with the site engineer and project manager for work completion reports.
• Ensure billing is done as per contract conditions and project specifications.
• Track work progress vs billed quantities.
• Prepare variation statements and extra item bills.
• Maintain billing registers and payment follow-ups.
• Support the finance department in invoice submission and payment tracking.
Required Qualifications
• B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering
Required Software Skills
• Microsoft Excel
• AutoCAD
Key Skills
• Quantity take-off and measurement
Experience
• 1–5 years in construction billing / quantity surveying
• Fresh civil engineers may join as Junior Billing Engineer
• Construction billing procedures
• Contract document understanding
• Attention to detail
• Communication and coordination with site teams
• Basic knowledge of construction billing and BOQ preparation
• Understanding of quantity surveying and measurements
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹11,882.61 - ₹47,534.25 per month
