**Chef de Partie (CDP) – Hospital Kitchen**

**Role Overview:**
The Chef de Partie (CDP) will be responsible for handling a specific section of the kitchen and ensuring smooth day-to-day food production in line with hospital standards. The role involves maintaining quality, hygiene, and consistency while supporting senior chefs in delivering patient-specific and bulk meals.
**Key Responsibilities:1. Food Production**
- Manage and execute food preparation for assigned kitchen section (Indian, Continental, Diet, etc.)
- Ensure timely production of meals for patients, staff, and attendants
- Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
- Assist in preparation of therapeutic and special diet meals as per instructions
**2. Quality Control**
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
- Ensure food is fresh, nutritious, and suitable for hospital patients
- Monitor portion sizes and minimize wastage
**3. Hygiene & Safety**
- Follow strict hygiene and sanitation standards as per hospital protocols
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment, and storage
**4. Inventory & Stock Handling**
- Assist in stock checking, storage, and proper utilization of ingredients
- Follow FIFO (First In First Out) practices
- Inform seniors about shortages or quality issues
**5. Team Coordination**
- Work closely with Head Chef, Sous Chef, and dieticians
- Guide and support junior staff and commis chefs
- Ensure smooth coordination during service hours
**6. Documentation & Compliance**
- Maintain basic production and wastage records
- Follow SOPs and kitchen protocols strictly
**Key Skills & Competencies:**
- Good knowledge of bulk cooking and kitchen operations
- Understanding of basic therapeutic diets (preferred)
- Strong sense of hygiene and discipline
- Ability to work under pressure and in shifts
- Team player with good coordination skills
**Qualification & Experience:**
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts
- 3–6 years of experience in kitchen operations
- Experience in hospital/institutional catering preferred
**Other Requirements:**
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts
- Basic understanding of patient dietary needs is an advantage
- Physically fit to handle kitchen operations
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹24,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
