Job Description — Client Service Executive (CSE)
Department: Client Advisory & Operations
Reports to: Operations Manager / Senior CSE / Relationship Manager (functional)
Role Objective
The Client Service Executive is responsible for ensuring a smooth, timely, and professional client service experience across all investment and insurance transactions. The role supports Relationship Managers and Advisors by managing documentation, coordination, and client communication so that advisory teams can focus on client relationships and portfolio growth.
Key Purpose:
Deliver reliable and responsive service so that clients feel confident and supported in all financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
1) Client Service Coordination
• Handle client service requests (statements, folio updates, bank changes, nominee updates, redemptions)
• Acknowledge client queries within defined TAT
• Coordinate with AMCs, brokers, insurance companies and registrars (CAMS/KFin)
• Provide status updates to RM and client
2) Account Opening & Documentation
• Process new client onboarding (KYC, FATCA, CKYC, mandate, nomination)
• Verify forms for completeness and compliance
• Ensure correct documentation before submission
• Maintain digital client records in CRM/DMS
3) Transaction Processing
• SIP registrations, switches, additional purchases, redemptions
• Insurance proposal documentation
• PMS/AIF documentation coordination
• Follow up till transaction completion
4) RM Support
• Prepare client portfolio summaries before meetings
• Track pending documentation
• Update transaction status
• Maintain client records
5) Client Communication
• Respond to routine client queries
• Provide statements, transaction confirmations, and updates
• Escalate advisory or relationship matters to RM/Advisor
6) CRM & Data Management
• Update all service activities in CRM
• Maintain accurate client contact details
• Upload documents and notes
• Track pending cases and follow-ups
Required Skills
• Basic understanding of mutual funds, demat accounts, stocks, insurance and financial products
• Documentation accuracy and attention to detail
• Communication & coordination ability
• Time management and follow-up discipline
• Basic Excel and CRM usage
Preferred Background
• B. Com / BBA / Finance graduate
• NISM certification (preferred but not mandatory initially)
• Experience in financial services / broking / AMC operations preferred
