An Electrical Shift Incharge SMS is responsible for overseeing and managing the electrical maintenance and operations within a Steel Melting Shop SMS during their assigned shift This role involves ensuring the smooth and safe functioning of all electrical systems troubleshooting issues coordinating with other teams and maintaining detailed records Key Responsibilities Supervising and leading electrical maintenance This includes both planned and unplanned maintenance activities on electrical equipment within the SMS such as EAF Electric Arc Furnace LF Ladle Furnace and CCM Continuous Casting Machine Troubleshooting electrical faults Identifying and resolving electrical problems and breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime and production loss Coordinating with other teams Working closely with production instrumentation and mechanical teams to ensure smooth operations during the shift Maintaining records Keeping accurate shift logs reports and maintenance records Ensuring safety Following all safety protocols and implementing measures to maintain a safe working environment for electrical maintenance activities Monitoring and controlling power consumption Tracking and optimizing power usage within the SMS Supervising and guiding staff Providing leadership and support to the shift electricians and junior staff Essential Skills and Qualifications Strong technical knowledge A thorough understanding of electrical systems including VFDs PLCs SCADA and power distribution within an SMS Troubleshooting skills The ability to diagnose and fix electrical faults under pressure Safety awareness A strong understanding of safety practices in heavy industries Team management and leadership skills The ability to effectively lead and guide a team of electrical technicians Experience in SMS operations Prior experience in a steel plant s SMS is highly preferred Shift work availability Willingness to work in rotating shifts is essential In essence the Electrical Shift Incharge ensures the reliable and safe operation of the electrical systems within the SMS during their shift contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of the steel production process JOB APPLY http jobs vinayakjob com CONTACT DETAILS - Name - DIMPAL Number - 91 91099 99669
