Job Description: HR Specialist – Manufacturing Operations

**Reporting To:** Operations Manager/Plant Head/GM
Role Overview
Ferrum Tubes is seeking an experienced and hands-on HR person to support its seamless steel pipe manufacturing operations in Raipur. The role focuses on shop-floor recruitment, employee grievance management, and building a disciplined and engaged workplace culture in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
**1. Recruitment & Manpower Planning**
- **End-to-End Hiring:** Manage recruitment for operators, maintenance staff, supervisors, and engineers.
- **Planning:** Coordinate with department heads for manpower planning.
- **Sourcing:** Build local hiring channels through ITIs, diploma colleges, contractors, and referrals.
- **Onboarding:** Handle documentation and induction processes.
**2. Employee Relations & Grievance Management**
- **Point of Contact:** Act as the first point of contact for employee complaints.
- **Issue Resolution:** Handle grievances related to wages, shifts, overtime, leave, and discipline.
- **Conflict Management:** Conduct fair investigations and resolve shop-floor conflicts to build trust.
**3. Culture Building & Engagement**
- **Initiatives:** Drive safety, discipline, and employee engagement programs.
- **Recognition:** Implement communication programs and recognition schemes.
- **Values:** Promote company values and a positive workplace culture.
**4. HR Operations & Compliance**
- **Legal Compliance:** Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws and statutory requirements.
- **Administration:** Manage attendance, shifts, and leave records.
- **Audits:** Coordinate with payroll and handle statutory audits.
**5. Training & Development**
- **Skill Gaps:** Identify training needs across the plant.
- **Programs:** Coordinate safety and behavioral training sessions.
- **Performance:** Support probation reviews and ongoing onboarding feedback.
Qualifications & Experience
- **Education:** Diploma/Degree in Human Resources.
- **Experience:** 5 years of HR experience with significant steel industry exposure.
- **Industry:** Experience in seamless steel tubes or allied industry is preferred.
Key Skills & Attributes
- Strong shop-floor HR management experience.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws.
- **Language:** Fluent in Hindi and English.
