**About the Role**
We are looking for a passionate **Junior Software Developer** to join our growing CarCred engineering team. You will work on building secure, scalable financial applications across web and mobile platforms while learning industry best practices in cloud, DevOps, and compliance-driven development.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Development**
- Assist in developing and maintaining applications using:
- **PHP** and **Node.js** (backend services)
- **React.js** (web frontend)
- **React Native** (mobile apps for iOS & Android)
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code under guidance from senior developers.
- Participate in debugging, testing, and performance optimization.
**API & Integration**
- Work with RESTful APIs and assist in building backend services.
- Integrate third-party APIs and internal services.
- Support microservices-based architecture development.
**Database & Data Handling**
- Work with **MySQL databases** for data storage and retrieval.
- Write basic queries, joins, and assist in query optimization.
- Ensure proper handling of sensitive financial data.
**Cloud & DevOps Exposure**
- Gain hands-on experience with **Azure App Services**.
- Assist in CI/CD processes using **GitHub Actions**.
- Support deployment, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
**Security & Compliance Awareness**
- Follow secure coding practices and company security policies.
- Assist in implementing:
- Data protection and encryption practices
- Audit logging mechanisms
- Learn and adhere to compliance standards such as:
- ISO 27001
- SOC 2
- DPDP Act (India)
**Testing & Quality**
- Write and execute unit and integration tests.
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with team standards.
**Documentation & Collaboration**
- Maintain basic technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product).
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning).
**Required Skills & Qualifications**
**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
**Technical Skills**
- Basic knowledge of:
- PHP or Node.js
- JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- React.js (preferred)
- Understanding of:
- REST APIs
- Database concepts (MySQL preferred)
- Familiarity with:
- Git / GitHub
- Basic SDLC concepts
**Soft Skills**
- Strong willingness to learn and grow.
- Good problem-solving and logical thinking.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
**Good to Have**
- Internship or project experience in web/mobile development.
- Exposure to **React Native**.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
