Job Description
An office boy (or office assistant/peon) provides vital daily support by ensuring the workplace runs smoothly and efficiently. Key duties include cleaning and organizing premises, serving beverages to staff/visitors, handling photocopying and filing, managing courier, performing general errands, and assisting with meeting room setup.
Key Responsibilities
• Office Maintenance: Cleaning workstations, conference rooms, pantry, and toilets; ensuring supplies like tea/coffee are stocked.
• Hospitality & Support: Serving tea, coffee, and water to staff and visitors.
• Administrative Assistance: Photocopying, scanning, scanning, filing, and scanning documents
.
• Logistics & Errands: Delivering documents to other offices, managing mail, and purchasing stationery.
• Equipment Care: Ensuring office machines (printers, water dispensers) are clean and functional.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is usually preferred.
• Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks, punctual, and reliable.
• Attributes: Good interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and a polite attitude.
• Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is often preferred but not always required.
Physical Requirements
• Active, capable of lifting light items, and comfortable standing or moving around the office for long periods.
