Senior Accountant — Business Services

About the Role This is a senior, hands-on role for an experienced accountant with deep knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance. You will manage a portfolio of clients end-to-end — from day-to-day bookkeeping through to the preparation and review of complex group tax returns. You will work closely with our Australian-based directors and serve as a trusted technical resource for the wider team.

Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end accounting for a portfolio of Australian business clients, from bookkeeping and bank reconciliations through to financial statement preparation. Prepare and review income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs). Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and FBT returns in compliance with ATO requirements.

Lead the preparation and review of large, complex group tax structures including consolidated groups and related-party arrangements. Identify tax planning opportunities and advise clients on structuring, compliance, and risk management. Liaise directly with clients to gather information, resolve queries, and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Mentor and review the work of junior team members, maintaining quality standards across the practice. Stay current with changes to Australian tax legislation, ATO rulings, and AASB accounting standards. Assist directors with research, technical memos, and client-specific advisory projects as required.
