Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated J**unior Accountant** to join our finance team. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining accurate records using Tally. The ideal candidate has a solid grasp of Indian taxation (GST, TDS, and ITR) and is looking to grow their career in a fast-paced environment.
### *Key Responsibilities*
**1. Daily Accounting & Bookkeeping**
- Record and manage all day-to-day financial transactions (Sales, Purchases, Receipts, and Payments) in *Tally Prime/ERP 9*.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and verify bank statements regularly.
**2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance**
- *GST:* Prepare data for GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and ensure timely filing. Perform reconciliation of GSTR-2A/2B with purchase books.
- *TDS:* Calculate TDS on payments, ensure timely deposit of challans, and assist in filing quarterly TDS returns.
- *ITR:* Assist in the preparation of data for Income Tax Return (ITR) filing for individuals and firms.
3. **Financial Reporting**
- Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet).
- Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for audit purposes.
- Coordinate with senior accountants or auditors during year-end closing.
### ***Required Skills & Qualifications***
- *Education:* Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), M.Com, or equivalent.
- *Experience:* 1–2 years of core accounting experience.
- *Technical Proficiency:* * Expertise in *Tally (Prime/ERP 9)* is mandatory.
- Advanced knowledge of *MS Excel* (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Familiarity with Government Portals (GSTN, Income Tax, Traces).
- *Core Knowledge:* Deep understanding of GST laws, TDS rates, and basic Income Tax provisions.
- *Soft Skills:* High level of accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
