**Position:** General Manager – Own Fleet

**Reporting To:** Director / COO / VP Operations
**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced **General Manager – Own Fleet** to lead and manage the company’s in-house transportation fleet operations. The role involves overseeing vehicle utilization, route planning, driver management, fuel efficiency, maintenance control, cost optimization, compliance, and on-time delivery performance.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in **fleet operations, transport management, vehicle maintenance, dispatch planning, and team leadership**.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage complete **own fleet transportation operations** for daily dispatch and delivery schedules
- Ensure **maximum vehicle utilization and minimum downtime**
- Monitor **trip planning, route optimization, and load management**
- Control **fuel consumption, mileage, and pilferage issues**
- Oversee **preventive and breakdown maintenance** of trucks / trailers / tankers / commercial vehicles
- Manage **driver deployment, roster planning, attendance, and performance**
- Ensure **vehicle fitness, permits, insurance, PUC, and statutory compliances**
- Track **GPS, trip sheets, e-way bills, challans, and transport MIS reports**
- Reduce logistics cost through **fleet efficiency and route planning**
- Coordinate with plant, dispatch, warehouse, sales, and customers
- Handle **RTO, transport unions, local authority, and road compliance matters**
- Monitor **accident control, safety practices, and driver training**
- Develop SOPs for **fleet maintenance and transport operations**
- Manage vendor tie-ups for emergency repairs, tyres, fuel, and spare parts
- Ensure **on-time dispatch and customer delivery commitments**
- Lead fleet supervisors, maintenance teams, and transport coordinators

**Qualification**
- Bachelor’s Degree / MBA / Diploma in Logistics, Mechanical, Automobile, or Operations
- Additional certification in **transport or fleet management** preferred
**Experience**
- **10+ years** in fleet / transport / logistics operations
- Minimum **3–5 years in leadership role**
- Experience in **own fleet management of 20+ vehicles / trucks**
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
