Job Description:
An HR Executive in steel manufacturing manages end-to-end HR operations, focusing on high-volume recruitment of shop-floor labor, statutory compliance (Factories Act), payroll/time office management, and industrial relations. The role acts as a bridge between management and workers to ensure a safe, disciplined, and productive environment, typically requiring 2–5 years of manufacturing experience.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Staffing: Manage high-volume hiring for technical and non-technical staff (operators, welders, engineers).
Industrial Relations & Compliance: Maintain compliance with the Factories Act, 1948, and labor laws (PF, ESIC), handle unions, and manage grievances.
Payroll & Time Office: Oversee attendance, shift scheduling, and salary/overtime (OT) processing.
Onboarding & Training: Conduct inductions and safety training for new employees.
Employee Relations: Enhance employee welfare, discipline, and performance appraisal management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience: 2–5 years in HR, with experience in a steel plant, heavy engineering, or manufacturing unit.
Education: MBA/PGDM in HR, MSW (Master of Social Work), or related field.
Competencies: Strong knowledge of labor laws, proficiency in HRMS/Excel, and excellent conflict resolution skills.
