Department: Projects & Engineering
Reports to: General Manager

**The** **Role**
We are seeking a highly capable Project Engineer to lead the end‐to‐end execution of
our new BSF farming facility in Raipur. You will be the on‐ground technical lead,
responsible for translating a proven design into a locally adapted, high‐quality reality.
This is not a pure design role—you will be deeply involved in sourcing, customization,
installation, and commissioning. You will manage skilled technicians, coordinate with
local vendors, and work closely with the GM and international engineers to ensure every
detail aligns with our operational standards. Your ability to balance cost‐conscious
adaptation with unwavering quality will be critical.
**Key Responsibilities**
● Design Adaptation & Localization
○ Study the existing farm design (layout, machinery, utilities, material flow)
from our reference facility.
○ Work with the GM and the international engineering team to identify areas
where the design can be adapted to local conditions—using locally
available materials, simplifying fabrication, or optimizing for cost while
maintaining performance and reliability.
○ Conduct site surveys to validate design assumptions and capture
site‐specific requirements.
● Sourcing, Procurement & Customization
○ Lead the sourcing of machinery and equipment. For items that need
customization, you will work with vendors to modify designs, fabricate to
local specifications, and ensure they meet our quality benchmarks.
○ Develop detailed technical specifications, TOR, and BOQ for procurement,
with a strong focus on cost‐value analysis.
○ Manage import decisions: identify which critical components must be
imported and which can be locally sourced or fabricated to reduce costs
and lead times.
● Project Planning & Execution
○ Develop and maintain a master project schedule, coordinating civil works,
equipment delivery, installation, and commissioning.
○ Manage contractors, skilled technicians, and suppliers on‐site to ensure
work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality.
○ Oversee all on‐site construction, installation, and integration of
mechanical, electrical, and utility systems.
● Hands‐On Technical Leadership
○ Be the primary technical problem‐solver on the ground. When challenges
arise, you will propose and implement practical, simplified solutions.
○ Directly manage and mentor a team of skilled technicians, ensuring they
work efficiently and safely.
○ Perform regular quality inspections on fabrication, installation, and
commissioning.
● Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer
○ Travel to Thailand (as needed) to observe the reference facility,
understand operational nuances, and build a detailed duplication plan.
○ Maintain constant communication with the CEO and international
engineering team—providing daily updates, flagging risks, and aligning on
critical decisions.
○ Document the entire duplication process, including lessons learned, to
enable future scale‐ups.
Qualifications & Experience
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
● Experience: 5+ years in project engineering, ideally involving plant setup,
machinery installation, and civil–mechanical integration.
● Core Technical Skills:
○ Strong mechanical aptitude with hands‐on experience in fabrication,
assembly, and installation.
○ Understanding of electrical systems (motors, controls, panels) and utilities
(HVAC, piping, pumps).
○ Proficiency in AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS (or similar), and Google suite.
○ Experience in procurement and vendor management, including
customization of equipment.
● Mindset:
○ Practical, solution‐oriented—able to simplify complex problems rather than
over‐engineer.
○ High attention to detail, especially in quality control and documentation.
○ Comfortable working in a flat, fast‐moving team with direct exposure to
leadership.
● Plus: Familiarity with material flow principles or experience in agro‐processing /
manufacturing environments.
Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
