**Job Title:** VP – Sponge Iron Unit (SIU)

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic professional for the role of VP – Sponge Iron Unit (SIU), responsible for leading and managing all operations, maintenance, and associated functions of the Sponge Iron Unit and Raw Material Processing (RMP) unit. The role requires strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and a proven track record in sponge iron plant operations to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, safety, and profitability.
**Key Responsibilities:A. Plant Operations:**
- Lead and oversee complete operations and maintenance of SIU, including kilns and RMP unit
- Develop and implement operational policies aligned with regulatory and industry standards
- Monitor plant performance and drive continuous improvements in efficiency, cost optimization, and reliability
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of senior managers, engineers, technicians, and operators
- Implement systems to monitor and control consumption of raw materials, energy, and other resources
- Oversee quality checks of raw materials and finished goods to ensure adherence to production plans
- Ensure workforce training, supervision, and adherence to operational standards
- Conduct regular plant inspections to identify and rectify process deviations
**B. Plant Maintenance:**
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
- Oversee maintenance of machinery, equipment, and plant infrastructure to minimize downtime
- Manage and execute planned shutdowns as per SOPs and operational requirements
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and PPE compliance
- Collaborate with Operation Excellence and PM-CBM teams to enhance maintenance efficiency
**C. General Management:**
- Plan and manage budgets for operations and maintenance functions
- Drive cross-functional coordination for seamless plant operations
- Oversee training and development initiatives for SIU teams
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of operational and maintenance data
- Analyze plant performance data, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions
- Present operational performance in review meetings and justify variances
- Maintain a safe, compliant, and productive work environment
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by top management
**Eligibility Criteria:**
**Educational Qualification:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Production Engineering (mandatory)
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (preferred)
- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, or similar methodologies (preferred)
**Experience:**
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in steel plant operations
- Minimum 10+ years in a senior leadership role
- **Mandatory experience in Sponge Iron Plant operations**
- **Candidates must be from the same sector (Steel/Heavy Manufacturing only)**
**Functional Skills:**
- In-depth expertise in Sponge Iron Unit operations and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of kilns, RMP processes, and related equipment
- Proven track record in plant management and operational excellence
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with proficiency in MS Office

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
