Job Title: General Manager Logistics & DistributionFunction: Operations / Supply ChainReporting To: PresidentRole Level: Enterprise Leadership RoleRole PurposeThe role goes beyond managing day-to-day logisticsit demands a visionary yet hands-on leader who can redesign the current logistics framework, anticipate future capacity needs, and enable faster go-to-market (GTM) execution in line with business growth plans.Strategic AccountabilitiesEnterprise Logistics Strategy & Scale ReadinessBuild a future-ready logistics architecture covering transportation, warehousing, depots, and dealer distribution.Ensure logistics infrastructure, systems, and partners are fully prepared for volume scale-up and market expansion.Transportation & Distribution ExcellenceOwn primary and secondary transportation strategy to ensure speed, reliability, and cost efficiency.Drive reduction in Turnaround Time (TAT) through optimized routing, fleet utilization, and dispatch planning.Strengthen dealer and distributor delivery performance to support aggressive GTM timelines across South India.Inventory, Warehousing & Network OptimizationLead inventory flow optimization from plant to warehouse, depots, and dealers.Balance service levels with working capital efficiency by reducing excess stock, damages, and transit losses.Redesign warehouse and depot operations for higher throughput, accuracy, and scalability.Cost Leadership & Commercial GovernanceDeliver measurable and sustainable logistics cost reductions
